Governor Ali Korane Bunow Tuesday urged all members of the County Assembly to join hands with the executive in identifying all other regions that are still facing acute water crisis at the Ward levels.
Addressing Members of the County Assembly (MCAs) who had gathered on a workshop on "Consolidating, transformative Assembly and Processes", Governor Korane stated that his government had prioritized the issue of water crisis during this fiscal year.
"For the current budgetary allocations, the county allocated the largest proportion to water department in an initiative aimed at reducing commodity crisis in our various wards.
Already a number of water projects are complete while many others on course. I therefore, urge you to rally together and help us in identifying all areas which are still hard-hit," stated the Governor.
Korane further assured the MCAs they would be involved in the incoming recruitment of the ambassadors of Kazi Mashinani program, an initiative that is set to widely benefit at least 920 youth and women from across the county.
