The son of Bomet East Member of Parliament Beatrice Kones passed away in a suspected suicide incident.
The 39-year-old son, Collins Kipyegon, who was the third born in a family of five is said to have posted messages suggesting he was going to take away his life on social media according to the Nation.
The Nation also reported that there were claims Kipyegon had a disagreement with his wife.
Friends who were able to read the message on social media rushed to his house in Ngara, located in the outskirts of Nakuru county.
The friends then broke into the house where they found him in an unconscious state, they rushed him to Nakuru War Memorial Hospital where he died as the doctors were attending to him.
Nakuru County Commissioner Simon Matu confirmed on Friday that Rongai divisional police commander Japhet Kioki with his team had briefed him they were investigating a suicide case.
When all this was happening, MP Beatrice Kones was in South Africa attending a pan-African parliamentary meeting and had to travel back on receiving the news of the death of her son.
