To a section of Kenyans, opposition leader Raila Odinga is still fit and should take another shot at the presidency in 2022.
But as much as he enjoys massive support across the nation, Odinga will have to pick the best person as his running mate to better his winning chances.
He, however, should not pick from this list;
1. Peter Kenneth
Anticipations are ripe that Odinga could try a different thing and pick his running mate from Mount Kenya region, former Gatanga lawmaker Peter Kenneth to be precise.
However, the latter cannot bring in much votes as he is considered a rebel in his home ground after challenging President Uhuru Kenyatta for the presidency in 2013.
In 2017, he again disobeyed the President, the Mount Kenya political kingpin when he vied for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat on an independent candidate against Governor Mike Sonko who had Uhuru's endorsement.
Deputy President William Ruto who is also eyeing the presidency is the most likely candidate to scoop the most votes as he enjoys massive support from most regional leaders.
2. Kalonzo Musyoka
Another Raila-Kalonzo combination will again fail as has been the case in the last 2 general elections.
It will not bring in anything new for the two to again combine on one ticket. You do not do the same thing the same way and expect different results.
3. Gideon Moi
During his tour of Homa Bay County in Raila's Luo Nyanza bedrock last month, area leaders drummed support for a possible joint ticket for the two.
However, Moi still lacks the national appeal though he enjoys massive popularity courtesy of his father and retired President Daniel Mwai.
He has also failed to take over the vote-rich Rift Valley region which seems more lenient towards Ruto and cannot, therefore, bring in anything notable to the union.
