On Friday, Uhuru held a crisis meeting with Ruto at State House amid immense cracks within the Ruling party even as the DP's allies fired salvo over war against graft which they believe is targeting the latter.

And global markets IHS Markit's senior analyst Chris Sucking observed in the report that Ruto was unlikely to survive lifestyle audit proposed by Uhuru which will substantially lead to his impeachment.

The intelligence report as highlighted by the Standard, indicates that Uhuru's team is mobilising MPs to reach the required two-thirds prerequisite for impeachment.

Further, it notes, the recent pact between Uhuru and ODM leader Raila Odinga has buoyed the plans since opposition MPs will play a key role.

"Any evidence obtained during the investigations indicating misuse of public resources will form the basis of impeachment," says the report.

It adds: "Regardless of the outcome, resulting splits withing the ruling party and the opposition will increase legislative disruption."

And the report warns investors of damning repercussions should the MPs execute the plan.

Before Friday's meeting between the duo, Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen had openly rebuked Uhuru's camp of witch hunt.

While Uhuru has remained unusually quiet, he responded to Ruto's allies who also dragged his brother Muhoho Kenyatta to contraband sugar business.
