Controversial gospel singer Ringtone has released a new song dubbed ‘Natafuta Bibi’, which translates to ‘I’m searching for a wife.
Ringtone has also featured popular Tanzanian socialite who is Harmonize's ex-girlfriend Jacqueline Wolper as a video vixen in the song.
This comes after the singer staged controversial stunts which at times landed him in trouble.
Last Sunday, the singer was chased away from Jubilee Christian Church (JCC) while on his wife hunting mission. A few days before the JCC drama, Ringtone had been arrested at Cooperative University in Karen while on the same mission.
The new song which has been produced by Teddy B and directed by Hanscana talks about Ringtone’s search for a wife who is God fearing, humble and prayerful.
“Natafuta bibi anayependa mungu, hapendi vitina anapenda watu, anapenda kuomba anapenda kusifu (I am searching for a God fearing wife who dislikes gossip but likes people, one who loves praying and praising),” Ringtone stated in the song.
According to the singer, the song stems from the Bible particularly Proverbs 31.
“The song basically talks about my personal journey of searching for a wife. The song thrives from Proverbs 31 that talks about a lady who is wife material, the song narrates the qualities she needs to have in order to be pleasing on earth and in heaven,” Ringtone wrote on the description of the song on YouTube.
A section of the netizens had suspected that Ringtone’s constant controversy was aimed at creating a foundation in his new song.
