Nyagarama while speaking at Omobirona SDA church in Riamanoti, Nyasiongo ward said DP Ruto should tell Kenyans where he has been getting the millions he dishes out at fund drives.

"DCI, DPP and EACC should make plans to summon DP Ruto so that he can explain what he knows about the dams scandal. He claimed that only Sh7 billion got lost yet we know it is over Sh20 billion. Ruto is hiding something which he should be compelled to make public," he said.

The county chief challenged elected leaders not to be scared about the corruption war.

"I won't steal public money and later start claiming that the Gusii community where I come from is being targeted. People should stop stealing and drag the whole community into stealing," he stated.

He said he will not condone corruption in his government.

Nyagarama also confirmed that illegal hiring of staff in his government won't take place saying employees on contract should be reedy to go home once their contracts expires.

"The county wage bill should reduce so that we can get money to fund projects," he added.
