Police in Magarini, Kilifi County are investigating an incident where a human body was found decomposing near a salt firm in Marereni.
Magarini sub-county security committee chairman Simon Lokorio said on Tuesday that his team has already launched an investigation to determine the circumstances that led to the death of the man.
Lokorio, however, revealed on the phone that his officers’ early investigations have indicated that the deceased, whose identities are yet to be revealed, could have visited the salt firm to seek for casual work before meeting his death.
“We are yet to understand more about the deceased because when we found the body we found no documents that could give us leads. His name and his origin remain a big question to be found out,” added the security chair.
