Deputy President William Ruto on Saturday asked residents of Kitutu Chache North constituency in Kisii County to ensure they are voting in 'one basket' in 2022 general elections.
Ruto was speaking when he attended a church service at Nyakoora Catholic church. He asked locals to consider voting for him in 2022.
"Your support in 2022 is necessary. Ensure you are voting in one basket because you are the same people who have seen who is working and who is not working to improve the lives of people across the country," he said.
He promised upgrade of roads in the region saying the national government is committed to ease transport by constructing roads.
"Roads under the national government in this area will be worked on courtesy of the national government. All you need to do is to be patient to give us ample time to work," said Ruto.
Ruto warned locals politicians against politicizing government projects saying the electorates are not 'silly' to be blinded by propaganda.
"Those playing false politics with an aim to persuade voters must stop and focus on constructive things because voters only elect development oriented leaders," he added.
