The changes former Prime Minister Raila Odinga is advocating for before 2022 only exist in his mind, former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has said.
The former senator said that he once worked with the ODM Leader and he can attest that there is nothing that came forth.
He said that Raila, who has since vowed to work with President Uhuru Kenyatta, only wants to remain relevant in the political scene.
“Having worked very closely with @RailaOdinga (together with an able technical team of experts) during the period starting mid 2013 and ending on 29th Jan 2018, I can confidently confirm that the New Kenya he is talking about exists only in his mind; where he is President,” he said through his Twitter handle.
Speaking in Nyatike, Migori County on Saturday, Raila said that change is inevitable, and asked Kenyans to prepare for massive changes in the leadership of this nation before President Uhuru Kenyatta completes his second and final term in office after 2022.
“You cannot resist change, if you try to resist it, the change will change you. The time for change in Kenya has come and nothing is as powerful as an idea whose time has come!” said Raila.
Deputy President William Ruto has dismissed Raila’s promise for radical changes.
