Speaking on Saturday at Kathiani, Kalembe said that Kibwana has disrespected the party.

"Kibwana spent five years fighting with the MCAs. What I would urge Kalonzo is that Kibwana's issue shouldn't be up for discussion, chase him from the party so that he vies again in another party," said Kalembe.

He said that Kibwana should resign from Wiper and vie afresh for the gubernatorial seat.

"Sisi huko kwetu hatumuiti Kivutha Kibwana tunamuita Kivuthya kibwana (Back at our place we don't call him Kivutha Kibwana but Kivuthya Kibwana (disrespect) because of the disrespect he has shown to Kalonzo," added Kalembe.

Kalembe has since vowed to work with Kalonzo and the Wiper party. He made his first appearance at a Wiper event on February 8 during the Kamba meeting in Koma.

Kalonzo has announced the 'divorce' between  Wiper and Muungano party.

Last week, the party wrote to the registrar of parties about the changes.
