A man was shocked on Sunday when he returned from church abruptly only to find his daughter in her bedroom with a neighbour's son.
The incident happened in Manga, Nyamira County.
Ezra Otiba said he felt unwell at church and decided to return home when he found his daughter in the act.
"I have been suspecting my daughter of having an affair with the neighbour's son. I attacked them before the man escaped from the house," he said.
Mr Otiba said his daughter has never shown any bad behaviors.
"I don't know what has come over my daughter since she has never misbehaved before. Her latest behaviors has left me in a rude shock though I'm sure the beating I gave will make her not to repeat a such mistake," he noted.
Area assistant chief Charles Karaya said the neighbor's son Pius Orenge went into hiding after the incident.
"Parents need to be vigilant to ensure their children are not engaging in illicit sex before marriage. It is shameful that Orenge sneaked into Otiba's daughter bedroom to have sex there," he noted.
