Controversial fire-brand Canadian based lawyer Miguna Miguna has mocked President Uhuru Kenyatta's latest ambassadorial appointments.
The former Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant claims that the latest appointments do not reflect the face of the country.
In a post on his official Facebook Page on Friday, Miguna accused President Kenyatta of allegedly sidelining other communities in government appointments.
He said the country has over 45 tribes and is not fair for others to be sidelined when it comes to State appointments.
"18 ambassadorial appointments made by Uhuru Kenyatta on one day. Out of that number, 13 are Kikuyus, 1 is Luo, 1 is Luhya, 1 is Kamba. Is that a fair and equitable distribution of senior jobs in Kenya? Is that the face of Kenya? Where are other tribes?" Miguna posted.
On Friday, President Kenyatta in a Press Statement signed by Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary (CS) Monica Juma announced the changes in High Commissioners, ambassadorial and consulate generals.
In the statement, CS Juma said the President has approved promotion and appointment of fifteen (15) serving officers to the position of ambassadors in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Those appointed for ambassadorial and High Commissioner positions will be vetted by Parliament before taking their appointments.
