Politicians allied to Deputy President William Ruto have continued to trade harsh words with factions in Jubilee over a plot to shortchange the deputy president.

While some politicians like Aden Duale have been quick to dispel rumours about a looming fallout, there are reasons to believe that the picture in Jubilee is not as rosy as it used to be.

Here is a sample of what Garissa residents have to say about the back and forth in Jubilee:

"There's a plot to renege on the pledge to support the DP in 2022," Ishamel Gabra said.

"These are just feeble attempts to wreck Jubilee, it won't work," Rege Mohamed said.

"Uhuru should come out and placate Ruto's side. If nothing is done, it will be the end of Jubilee as we know it," Khadhar Abdi said.

"The Ruto-allied politicians should stop crying foul. It is too early for that. Kenyans want development and not politics," Jama Godana said.

"Jubilee won't survive. It has outlived its purpose," Khatib Bare said.
