Happy residents drawn from all corners of Gusii region have expressed their happiness following the return of Mr. Gichana.

"I am a happy woman now following the release of Mr. Gichana from prison. It is evident that some politicians wanted him to be locked without fair trial but, God intervened to have him out of prison," said Ediniah Moraa at Gusii stadium on Friday.

Lukas Basweti said the business mogul should prepare to vie for any political seat of his choice in Kisii County.

"I am willing to mobilize people to vote for Mr. Gichana in 2022. He is worth a leader and not a criminal as claimed," said Basweti.

Arnold Ogendi reiterated that Mr. Gichana should be the next governor in Kisii County.

Ogendi said people like Kisii deputy Governor Joash Maangi and Kitutu Chache MP Richard Onyonka should be allowed to represent the people of Kisii County.

"Maangi and Onyonka are egocentric. They should be chased away once they will be out seeking to succeed governor James Ongwae," he noted.
