Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho attracts admiration across the nation.
Away from home, governor 001 is exceptionally loved in Luhya Land and Luo Nyanza. This has been proved on several occasions including the landmark reception at Bukhungu Stadium in Kakakmega County during last year’s NASA campaigns and the warm reception in Homa Bay as well as Migori counties.
On July 2, 2017, Homa Bay County Governor Cyprian Awiti revealed that women from his county admire the coastal 'Sultan'.
Awiti’s revelation was made at a hotel in Homa Bay during an Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) youth convention. The Mombasa governor was in attendance.
Awiti alias Akuba also said that the regional lioness, Mbita MP Millie Mabona Odhiambo, admires Joho.
“Gesa Gesa (Millie) has told me kichwa yake inaenda kus kus kus when she sits next to you,” Awiti said.
The host governor went on to lightly promise Hassan Joho a piece of land in the region on his next visit.
This was a comical suggestion that the governor is allowed to marry local secret admirers and build them homes in the free land.
