Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu wants Deputy President William Ruto to either assist President Uhuru fight corruption or resign.
He also said that the DP should support the initiatives which have emanated from the handshake.
The MP spoke moments after an interview on Hot 96 Tuesday.
During the interview, Wambugu defended former Jubilee Party interim vice chairperson David Murathe from accusations of fighting Ruto, opining that he had a right to do the same.
The first-time MP argued that Murathe could not fight Ruto while he was still a Jubilee Party official thus, he decided to resign so as to face-off with Ruto.
Wambugu dared Ruto to do what Murathe did instead of antagonising the President, while still in the ruling party.
The legislator remarked that Ruto was against his boss' initiatives more so, the fight against corruption and building bridges.
Wambugu has since called on the DP to tender his resignation should he feel he will not support President Kenyatta in his efforts to unite the country and end corruption.
"If this is the case, he should be as honourable as David Murathe. He should resign as Jubilee Deputy Party leader and as Deputy President, and then he will be free to fight against Uhuru’s policies, from outside," remarked Wambugu.
