In a letter seen by Hivisasa.com dated June 12 that was allegedly written and even signed by the county secretary Mr Abdi Ali,  the county chief Finance officer was instructed to process the said amount.

The letter reads; “Kindly process allowances for Mr Abdirahman Abubakar (Dalmar YareYare), a Somali celebrity who performed at the launch of the Garissa county revolving fund at the Almond Resort."

Speaking to the press from his office on Thursday, the county Secretary revealed that the said letter was “fake” and just meant to tarnish his good name and that of the county government.

"All these stories you hear and reports on social media about me writing  letter to the finance department asking them to effect payments to an artist are neither here or even there, it is fake.

“As a county, were not aware of his presence in the first place. We were taken by surprise when he just showed up on the stage for a live performance," the county official said.

Below is a copy of the letter that has been dismissed as fake.
