On Friday, Uhuru and his Deputy William Ruto met for several hours at State House where they are said to have agreed of a PG on Tuesday.

With divisions rocking the party, Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen, who has however been directly involved in the infighting, said the party could not afford to discuss divisions.

"If there will be PG ore retreat, it will be about the Big Four agenda because several MPs have complained because they do not know their roles," he said.

On Monday, Secretary General Raphael Tuju denied knowledge of a meeting adding that it was 'media creation'.

"After due consultations, I can confirm that there will be no meeting on Tuesday," said Tuju, accusing the media of spreading 'fake' news.

But a Borabu based politician who spoke in confidence intimated that Uhuru might have cancelled the meeting following 'political' demands by Ruto's camp.

"Ruto, through his allies wants to know the contents of the MOU with Raila Odinga. They also want to know why the president uses draconian language while addressing the DP. That is why the president perhaps cancelled it," he said.
