The suspect identified as Brayo is linked to the killing of a police officer during a highway robbery along Thika road two weeks ago.

According to detectives in the probe, the suspect is also believed to have been involved in the shooting of Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu’s driver in October 2017 in Nairobi.

He was nabbed by flying squad officers on Wednesday and is being held and interrogated at the Pangani police station.

Detectives claim that Brayo is among the city's lethal criminals.

Nairobi has in the recent months experienced a spate of criminal activities with residents urging the government to guarantee their safety.

On Monday Kibera MP Ken Okoth urged the police to boost security and tame runaway crime.

The MP also warned young people against being lured into crime.
