In Migori, the Deputy Head of State vowed to spearhead the initiation of development projects in the region, adding that he will again tour Migori in February next year.

Well aware that though they never voted for his combination with President Uhuru Kenyatta in the previous election they are in dire need of development, Ruto will henceforth use the development trick to repeatedly visit the region.

And under the same trick, he will win the hearts of some people both via his known generosity during fundraisers, while at the same time getting the ample opportunity to win over allies who might be very instrumental in his 2022 bid.

Also, in Migori, the leader strategically threw himself on the good side of opposition leader and area political kingpin Raila Odinga, cleverly veiling the enmity that apparently exists between them.

“I have nothing against Raila. In fact, we are working closely with him and President Uhuru Kenyatta under the Building Bridges Initiative brought about by the handshake,” he was quoted by the Standard

This obviously melted the hard hearts of the majority Odinga supporters who for very long have been observing him as a bad politician who does not even their attention.

Courtesy of the new move, he has gained some ground and an ear from the people, with his only remaining task being to convince them to back him.

And as a man who stands out for his verbal prowess and funny nature, convincing the people with the backing of roads and electricity launches cannot be a tough job.

Therefore, his recent visit could be the start of a revolution in the region.

He now only needs to visit Kisumu, the region's capital and launch massive projects that will endear him to the electorate.
