Televangelist James Ng'ang'a on Friday reignited already escalating strained relationship with the media, accusing members of the forth estate of allegedly maligning his name.
In video making rounds on social media, Pastor Ng'ang'a of Neno Evangelist church, is heard threatening media of unspecified consequences should they 'continue maligning his name'.
"I am back again. I don't know what's wrong with these media people. They cannot do without my name? Every day they wake up, they talk of Ng'ang'a. What's so sweet in my name that they continue mentioning it?" a furious Ng'ang'a argues.
He added: "The other day they said I'd gone to wilderness. Today they are saying that I was arrested for conning someone. If you tread that route, I'll not spare you. The government and those in authorities should tell me what I have done. This rubbish must stop."
Reports in the media indicates that Pastor Ng'ang'a was arrested on Thursday night and taken to Central Police Station for allegedly conning a businessman Sh3.5 million. He was however released on Friday morning on police bond.
Last month, Ng'ang'a was arrested after allegedly threatening Citizen TV's Linus Kaikai, who he accused of defaming preachers. Mr Kaikai sued him over death threats and he's currently facing him in court.

It's said that Pastor Ng'ang'a was supposed to report to court on Friday to plea over the latest incident, which he insists that he's not aware of. He says that he learnt the news from the media.
