Former Chuka University first class degree holder Ruth Rono has continued to gain more and more support from the public.
According to a source who requested anonymity, Dr Erick Ruto of Reale Hospital in Eldoret has offered to pay Ruth's family's medical cover, under the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF).
"The family of Ruth was picked from Baringo on Wednesday for medical check-ups. As of yesterday, they were still undergoing various check-ups and treatments at Reale Hospital in Eldoret," the source intimated.
This comes days after Ruth's story was posted on social media by Festus Kipchumba. According to the report, Ruth's mother was forced to go back to her parents' home due to health issues and financial constraints, forcing Ruth to perform odd jobs to cater for her siblings' needs.
After her plight was highlighted, Ruth received several job offers from different organisations. She finally settled on a job from the Office of the President and urged employers who had offered her jobs to give other deserving youths the opportunity.
"I would like to thank employers for the many job offers I received. I request them to consider offering the jobs to other youths who don't have jobs," she said.
