Knocking at office doors, writing of application letters and attending interviews is one hectic experience youths or any other job seeker encounter in their attempt to secure a source of income.

Is there a story unfolding in your community? Let Hivisasa know

Employment opportunities continue to remain scarce even as the government and the country’s politicians continue to use it as a campaign tool.

Unfortunately, none of them has ever achieved this manifesto. We continue to hope that a day will come when everyone will have an employment.

However, here are three things you should never forget when you are a job hunter;

Never lose hope

Hope is the last thing you can ever lose. Persistence is very important despite the fact that all the job opportunities you encounter may work against you. God has special plans for everyone one and definitely, your day will come.

Believe in yourself

Always believe in your qualifications. Every time you write an application letter or attend an interview, present yourself and appear like the person the employers are actually looking for. You may not have the best qualifications but that should never put you down as you can get the opportunity and you will be surprised when the someone with higher qualifications than yours misses that job.

Have connections

Treat every person you meet with kindness and make friendships. You never know where you will meet that person or when you will need him or her. To be sincere, securing a job in the country at the moment is more of connections than qualifications.
