A man has been fined Sh10,000 for allegedly seducing his neighbor’s wife on Tuesday at Raganga village, Kitutu Chache South in Kisii County.
Elders led by Augustine Moruye said the man, Amos Abong’o has been demanding for sex from his neighbor’s wife, Angela Moraa.
“Abong’o failed to get a woman to marry but only targeting people’s wives. He sent a love message to Moraa who reported the matter to us. We summoned him and fined him Sh10,000,” said Moruye.
Moruye said the fine was just a warning to other men fond of seducing people’s wives.
The elders said they will keep watch and fine men in the area using money to lure women into sex.
“Men should not use their money to make love with married women. We will continue punishing such men found seducing or sleeping with women carelessly in the village,” he added.
Speaking when he paid the fine to the elders, Abong’o blamed temptations and the devil.
“I don’t know why I have been chasing Moraa for love yet she is married. I ask for forgiveness and promise that I will never repeat the same thing next time,” he said.
