Speaking in Butula, Busia County, Joho said that former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga told his brigade to block Ruto from succeeding President Uhuru Kenyatta, a remark which has not gone well with leaders allied to DP Ruto.

In a quick rejoinder, Nandi Governor Arap Sang asked Joho to respect Ruto.

According to Sang, there is no way Joho can support the handshake between Uhuru and Raila, but continue to launch attack after attack against Ruto.

"If you support the handshake between Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga, then you must also embrace the deputy president because he is part and parcel of the Jubilee administration," Sang said during a meeting in his backyard on Sunday.

The county boss also said that Joho should come out to defend himself against drug trafficking claims. He alleged that the county boss was behind the syndicate, adding that he should be probed over the same.

In the past, Joho denied claims that he was involved in the drug trafficking business. He has always said he is ready to be investigated over the illegal business.
