Speaking to a Hivisasa writer, the student who preferred to remain anonymous elaborated how he is able to make the huge amount of money while studying at the institution,

He narrated that he had established several business which include a lounge, a wine and spirits shop, a play station area, a barber shop, a salon and rental houses.

"I have branded all my businesses as Famous and they are all located at Abamukoa plaza in Maseno market. This is an advantage since customers can acquire their desired goods and services at one place.

"By the end of the month, I earn Sh180, 000 from the play station, Sh140, 000 from the Lounge, Sh120, 000 from the wines and spirits shop, Sh650,000 from the rental houses and Sh150,000 from the barber shop and salon. I roughly make one million shillings minus all the expenses," he narrated.

Responding to a question on how he made it, the student noted that it took him time and effort to get to where he is today.

He divulged that his parents stopped paying his fees in first year, forcing him to start a play station business to cater for his fees, and personal needs.

While trying to expand the business, he faced financial constraints that landed him into huge debts. He almost gave up, but encouragement from his friends helped him sail through.

"In third year, I bought a piece of land at a cost of Sh300,000 with a loan I acquired from the KCB bank. After securing the loan, I immediately constructed rental houses, and later cleared the loan in the same year under pressure from the bank.

"The rates from the rental houses are my main source of income. The rent earned has enabled me support my other business and achieve this success I have today," he said.
