Mulyungi said he has no personal issues against Ngilu stating that his criticism of the governor is purely political.

The vocal legislator is a critic of Ngilu and has openly castigated the governor, accusing her of failing to deliver on her mandate.

Mulyungi has severally claimed that Ngilu is a non-performer and it was a mistake for Kitui residents to elect her in the 2017 General Elections.

The Wiper MP has even openly declared his interest to unseat the Kitui county boss in 2022 polls.

On Friday, Mulyungi surprised his supporters when he declared full support for Ngilu.

Addressing his constituents in Mwingi town, the MP said that Ngilu needs all leaders' support to perform.

Mulyungi said he is ready and willing to work with Ngilu in the handshake's spirit.

"I would like to work with my sister Governor Ngilu to escalate development in Mwingi and other parts of Kitui county," the MP nicknamed 'Tsunami' said.

Mulyungi, however, expressed disappointment, claiming that Ngilu is not picking his calls.

He claimed that despite his numerous attempts to reconcile and work with Ngilu, it has been impossible for him to find her.

"She has persistently refused to pick my calls and I am not going to give up on finding her," he added.

Mulyungi and Ngilu have severally exchanged ugly barbs over development issues, especially on coal mining in Mua basin and the famous 'Ndengu' revolution.

The MP accused Ngilu of failing to involve residents and local leaders on coal mining.

He also accused the governor of discriminating residents on her 'Ndengu' revolution.

Ngilu on her part has in several occasions dismissed Mulyungi's allegations, claiming that he is fighting her government.
