Since his arrest, Obado, an ODM politician, has only had former Kakamega Senator Bonnie Khalwale visiting him in court.

But George Mosiori, the Minority Chief Whip in Nyamira Assembly nominated under Jubilee, visited the governor last week before being taken ill to Kenyatta National Hospital.

"I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me, with Migori County Governor, Okoth Obado, Chris Ruba," he wrote on his Facebook.

Currently, Mr. Mosiori is at the Coast for a meeting between the assembly and members of executive.

His friend, Chris Ruba confirmed the visit, adding that the Governor has been a long time friend.

"We didn't take photos but we did visit him at Industrial Area prison. It was sad to see him in there but hopefully all will be well," he said.

On Friday, Justice Jessie Lessit will make a ruling whether or not Obado will be freed on bond after days of rejection.

He's accused of murdering his girlfriend Sharon Otieno and the unborn baby in September.
