Busia Governor Sospeter Odeke Ojaamong joined locals to have a test of the local brew, Busaa, after meeting leaders of over 40 community-based groups in Kidera, Teso South.
Ojaamong who recently declared his candidature for the 2022 State House race has been receiving delegations at his Okilidu home in chatting the way forward on his grassroots movements across the country.
The Governor who received endorsement for his intention to lead the country is confident he will win in 2022.
Busaa is a local brew common among western Kenya communities especially the Iteso who are seen and known to be the best in brewing natural, pure, clean and healthy Busaa.
The locals in Teso region also use busaa during the naming of young children as a rite of passage.
The elders take busaa while conversing about serious matters of the community.
It is regarded sacred and children are never allowed to seat with elders.
It is not the first time the Busia Governor has been spotted with locals drinking the local brew.
Early last year the Governor, after the burial of the late Justice Etyang at Kotur went with Ford Kenya leader to his Okilidu home and they sipped the brew.
