Garissa Township Member of Parliament and House Majority Leader Aden Duale finally fulfilled his pledge to finance in whole the education of a poor boy from Garissa County.
Duale gave Mohamed Abdifatah Sheikh, whose story was highlighted by a mainstream television station, a cheque worth two-hundred and sixteen thousand shillings to cater for his school fees at Nairobi school.
Mohamed comes from a poor background and his parents were not in a position to raise the amount leading to Duale's intervention after the television feature.
Handing over the cheque to the boy, the outspoken legislator promised to ensure that caters for his school fees up to form four.
He also advised the boy to focus on his studies and not allow himself to be distracted by trivialities.
Education was the only way that Mohamed would be able to pull his family out of poverty, Duale emphasised.
