Ruto termed reports claiming the government was divided as imaginary and meant to put a wedge between him and his boss President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Speaking on Saturday when he was accompanied by more than 20 Jubilee MPs during the homecoming ceremony of Kiharu legislator Ndindi Nyoro, the DP insisted the government was reading from the same script, adding that all party leaders were pushing the government agenda as instructed by the President.

"When you see us here, we are one team as Jubilee and let me tell you, we plan all these government projects. You know I am Uhuru's right-hand man. Uhuru permits me to do everything I do since we are all under him as our leader," he said at Gaturi Primary School.

Ruto further said it was unfortunate that majority of Murang'a county residents had no piped water despite Ndaka-ini dam, which feeds Nairobi with water, being in the area.

"The government has set aside Sh100 million to support the drilling of boreholes to ensure residents have water. The Cabinet Secretary in charge of Water and local leaders will work together to end water shortage in this area," he said.

Ruto also announced that the Sh700 million rehabilitation of Murang’a-Kangema road would commence in three months.
