An aspirant for the 2019/2020 Congress lady at the University of Eldoret has urged her competitors to maintain peace as they start their campaign Friday at 4 pm.
Sheila Cherono, a second-year student pursuing education and physical fitness studies says peace is paramount during this period when they are selling their agenda to their colleagues.
Cherono who has since been nominated to vie for the Congress Lady position states that nothing unites the society like peace and idealism.
''My competitors, let's have a peaceful competition so as to maintain peace during the campaign and after. Let us vote wisely to the Student Council - let us not be bribed," she says.
She, however, didn't hide her enthusiasm promising to clinch the seat where the majority of the contestants are men.
''I'm delighted to have been duly nominated. It is indeed a privilege to be among the giants who are competing in this seat given that it is mainly dominated by men',' she offers.
She notes that Bomet Governor Dr Joyce Laboso has always been her role model.
''I know I will beat several men. That will be my greatest achievement. I come from a county led by a lady, Bomet County. Mama Joyce 'kabisa' is my mentor," says Cherono.
''My beloved supporters, I know we are going to make it. Change is coming."
