Speaking on Radio Jambo on Monday evening, Thirdway Alliance party Secretary General Frederick Okang'o urged the region to drop its support for Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi and his Ford Kenya counterpart Moses Wetangula.

The two are deemed the region's top leaders.

He noted that the duo has failed to deliver throughout its long presence in leadership, pointing out that the leaders have nothing to offer both the region and entire nation.

"Watu wa Western wachaneni na hawa viongozi maana hawatawapeleka popote (shun them as they have nothing to offer you)," said Okang'o.

Instead, he urged the region to go for new and young leaders whom he termed as visionary and more suited to deliver with regards to the changing political conditions.

He further pledged his party's readiness to aid in the same in the approaching 2022 general election.

Okang'o noted that the former presidential hopeful Ekuru Aukot-led side will give nominations to leaders who will miss out in the region's popular parties.

"Tunahitaji viongozi wapya na was kisasa maana siasa tunayoiona sasa ni ya kisasa. Watakaokarangwa katika michujo tutawapa tikiti (let's go for new leaders and our party will give out tickets to nomination victims)," he added.

The two have since announced plans to merge their teams into a single block and are both also eyeing the presidency in the 2022 general election.
