United States of America Ambassador to Kenya Kyle McCarter has challenged the young people to make money legitimately and strive to end corruption in the country.
Speaking at the mentorship club in Nairobi on Thursday, the US Special Envoy said the young generation is the hope of tomorrow and redeeming the economic state of the country.
In a televised Short broadcast by the Ebru TV, McCarter said the country needs to reset the social values.
"You are the generation to breathe life again to this great country. You have to exploit righteous ways of making money other than involvement in crime," he said
Taking to his Twitter page, he was grateful to have addressed the youths.
"Honored to speak to 1000’s of young people last night at Sense 101 Life club about making money. A person who is talented enough to steal a million ks is talented enough to make a million ks legally," read his tweet.
Kenya has been on the headlines for the increased corruption cases rocking the government and thus endangering the economy of the state.
Kyle McCarter replaced Bob Godec as the US Ambassador to Kenya at the beginning of the year.
