He has revealed that a need for Jubilee to win the elections was the main reason why they had to work with Ruto.

Few weeks after resigning from a vital position in the Jubilee party, the experienced politician is giving it everything to see the DP is locked out of the race.

In his recent live televised interview with Hussein Mohammed, Murathe introduced another claim against the deputy president where he accused him of rigging the Jubilee primaries so that he could plant in his proffered candidates and lock out those who seemed to be his 2022 threat.

“When we repeated the second nominations, all hell broke loose because some interested parties rigged out highly popular people, in some of our own areas in Mt Kenya and Rift Valley and planted the people they wanted,” he said.

When Murathe was questioned about his agenda and the reasons behind his resignation from the party and continuous attack on DP William Ruto yet they had been working closely until they won the elections, Murathe said he only worked with Ruto so that Jubilee could win the elections.

"Moi thought us that you should promise anything so long as it makes you win," he said.

Murathe is not the only Jubilee member who worked under Moi, even president Uhuru Kenyatta did. If the President also received the same advice from the former president Daniel Moi, will he keep the promises they made to each other with DP Ruto?

At one point the President was quoted saying his 2022 choice or rather decision will shock everyone in the country.
