But apart from opposition leader Raila Odinga who is most likely to win in a clean race, he would automatically appear second if he were to face off with Siaya Senator James Orengo.

Unlike Ruto who remains largely unacceptable in some parts of the nation due to his anti-opposition leader Raila Odinga policies, Orengo is nationally acceptable and more likely to garner more votes.

Also, Orengo remains spotless on matters related to integrity and corruption.

He is slightly more popular than the DP, hence his ability to defend his seat without even campaigning in the concluded poll.

Ruto on the other hand is already silently campaigning for his candidature, four years in advance, proof that he does not believe in himself.

With Kenyans up in arms against the graft menace, they will obviously go for Orengo instead of Ruto if the two were to clash in the pending race for State House.

With education also playing a big role in leadership, Orengo has proved that he is more brainy that the DP, judging by his many legal victories in courts.

Having participated in the push for second liberation in the 90s, a push that saw him spend time in jail with other anti-Nyayo regime campaigners, Orengo will overshadow Ruto on matters nationality.

This is with regards that Ruto is not known to have fought for the nation in any way and was less known when the likes of departed hero Kenneth Matiba were being jailed for opposing President Daniel Moi.

Therefore, Ruto cannot match the counsel and will automatically lose to him in a duet.
