British Prime Minister Theresa May is expected in the country at the end of the month.
The visit will be May's first on the African continent after taking over from David Cameron.
Her visit was announced by Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Monica Juma during a media briefing on Thursday.
The visit by May will mark the second time a sitting British Prime Minister has visited the country after Margaret Thatcher’s 1988 visit.
According to the CS, May will hold talks with President Uhuru Kenyatta on the delivery of the Big Four development agenda.
The four-point agenda is meant to solidify Uhuru's legacy when he leaves office in 2022.
Juma added that talks are already in high gear to have the United Kingdom visa office re-established in Nairobi to ease the process of acquiring travel documents by Kenyans.
May's visit will come days after President Uhuru meeting with his US counterpart Donald Trump in Washington.
