Suba North Member of Parliament (MP) Millie Odhiambo Mabona has called out Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi, popularly known as Sonko after his public spat with Nairobi Women Representative Esther Passaris on Saturday.
During Madaraka Day celebrations in Nairobi on Saturday, Passaris accused Sonko of not receiving her calls when she calls him to address matters concerning Nairobi residents.
The Governor responded that he was not her husband to always receive her calls, something the Suba North MP has not taken lightly.
Odhiambo went ahead to say that it was wrong for Sonko to record phone conversations with various leaders, then release them to the public later on.
“My advice to Hon Sonko: your response to Hon Esther Passaris was unnecessary and uncalled for. You responded to a mosquito bite with a hammer.
"It is in bad taste to record and share private conversations unless in a bid to exonerate yourself in criminal proceedings. It is childish. You are now a Governor, behave as such,” Millie Mabona posted on her Facebook page.
The Governor has maintained that he will not apologise to Passaris. Sonko says he has no reason to apologise to Passaris, claiming that she is the one who offended him in the first place.
