Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi has ruled out State House appointment, further raising speculations among his supporters.
ODM leader Raila Odinga has already taken AU High Representative for Infrastructural Development duty while his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka was recently appointed by President Uhuru Kenyatta as Joint Monitoring and Evaluation Commission head to South Sudan.
But a defiant Mudavadi, who played a key role in Uhuru's campaigns, insists that he's not ready for offers from State House.
“What we have before us is the task of consolidating our party. ANC’s focus is on 2022 and to see who is ready to play the role of opposition leader," said Barack Muluka, his Secretary General on KTN, Wednesday.
"Those interested in the job can take it but not us. Mudavadi will remain focused in keeping the government on check."
Last week, Mudavadi is said to have met President Uhuru Kenyatta's handlers David Murathe and Kungu Muigai for several hours in Murang'a further raising eyebrows about his plans.
Also yet to get a state house appointment is Moses Wetangula, another key opposition figure in 2017 polls.
