The nomination of Ochilo Ayacko as the ODM Migori senatorial race candidate continues to elicit mixed reaction.
This after governor Okoth Obado accused the party of impoing candidates on voters.
In a quick rejoinder, ODM officials have taineted their guns on Obado over his controversial stand.
Speaking on Saturday, ODM chairman John Mbadi told Obado to prepare for a bruising battle incase he supports another candidate.
“The party machinery will not let go the seat. It will traverse the county with a powerful force,” Mbadi said.
He questioned why Obado was against Ayacko yet they had reconciled in Raila’s presence.
“This was a unilateral decision made by the party’s rank and file. Obado is an ODM governor. Its unbelievable what he said. It means he has no respect for our party leader,” Mbadi said.
However, Obado has said that Raila's name should not be dragged into the matter.
“How does Raila come in? Does Mbadi wants to imply that Raila is anti-democracy or is he speaking for lack of better things to do? Obado posed.
Former Rongo MP Dalmus Otieno who was a potential candidate hinted that he might look for another political party in order to be on the ballot.
