Kisii County Governor James Ongwae has assured the country that his administration is ready for host KICOSCA/CASA games scheduled to start on August 13, 2018.

Ongwae said the completion of construction of Gusii Stadium is a clear indication that the county is ready for the games which will bring all Kenyans from the 47 counties together. 

“We are ready for the games. Everything is in place to ensure the games run well without any difficulties. Gusii stadium is ready since we planted grass for the playing field to be smooth to give humble time to the participants,” he said.

Ongwae called on Kisii residents especially traders to prepare well and stock products to sell to the high population that will be witnessed during the games. 

“The security team has ensured maximum security during the games. Criminals should keep off and traders are advised to stock more products to sell to the high population that will be around to attend and watch the games,” he added.

He said revenue collectors will not harass traders who will be out to sell products to visitors but, warned against selling illegal products to visitors saying the law will not bend for offenders. 

He said youths who will be found robbing visitors will be arrested and prosecuted. 

Ongwae was speaking on Thursday evening during an interview with KTN television.
