Former Vice President Musalia Mudavadi can reclaim his lost political glory if he mends fences with ODM leader Raila Odinga.

In an interview with Citizen TV recently, Mudavadi conceded that Raila's decision to work with President Uhuru Kenyatta has substantially weakened the opposition.

"To some extent, it crippled the opposition but we don't have option other than living with the move," he said.

Moments after the handshake, Mudavadi along with Moses Wetangula, dismissed the move and even termed Raila a betrayer.

But Ugenya MP Samuel Atandi says Mudavadi should look for Raila and craft a working strategy ahead of 2022 polls.

"It is our time to pay back but that will only happen if we renew our friendship," said the ODM lawmaker.

He added: "Raila and Mudavadi should worker together and forget about party politics that could be creating rift. That is the only way he will bounce back."

The crisis between Raila and Western Kenya leaders deteriorated when ODM kicked out Wetangula as Senate Minority Leader in April.
