A famous business mogul in Maseno market committed suicide after failing to pay loans she obtained from the bank and suppliers of goods in her supermarket.

She committed suicide after her creditors piled pressure on her to pay the loans or risk losing her property.

The pressure forced her to commit suicide eliciting reactions from a section of the Maseno University community.

Here are some of the reactions: 

"She should have seeked help from her financial stable business friends or family members," said Mzee Omollo, a businessman in Maseno.

"Murdering myself is the last thing I could do. I would have prayed to God to guide me through such a trying moment," said Quinter Acheing.

"I guess the situation she was  in was really messed up, and that's why she couldn't withstand the pressure from her loan lenders," Diego Ombano noted.

"I pray for the family in this trying moment of their lives. Let God be with them," said Barnabas Oumah.

'"I will never go for loans from banks, they have a lot of pressure, see what they did to her.How about me, with this small hotel of mine?" posed Mama Babra.

"I have learnt to always take in, what I can chew. I will never take a loan that surpasses my financial stability," said Daniel Okumu, a local shopkeeper.

"May her soul rest in peace, what she passed through was tough," said Peter Wandera.
