Several leaders have already reacted after the Supreme Court barred the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commision (IEBC) from declaring Machakos gubernatorial position vacant on Wednesday.
However, the most affected Wiper candidate and former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti seemed cool about the court's decision.
On her Facebook post, Ndeti maintained that the Court of Appeal's judgment on 8th June was well reasoned.
"Mr. Alfred Mutua has decided to exercise his rights by appealing the decision of the Court of Appeal despite the good judgment delivered on 8th June 2018.
While I respect the Supreme Court’s decision to grant a stay, I maintain that the Judgement of the Court of Appeal was very well reasoned," Ndeti posted.
Ndeti said she's hopeful the Supreme Court will uphold the appellant court's decision.
"The Court of Appeal Judges upheld the truth that we all knew and I am confident that the Supreme Court will ultimately uphold their decision," Ndeti said.
She said she will comply with the directions of the court and asked Machakos residents to be calm until the dust settles.
Machakos MCAs had two weeks ago debated on a motion seeking to remove Governor Mutua from his position and have the speaker replace him.
