West Mugirango MP Vincent Kemosi on Saturday urged lawyers to desist from dragging Maraga's name.

"Nelson Havi should be unqualified lawyer. He should represent his client and not blaming CJ Maraga over his silence on Mwilu's arrest," he said.

According to the MP, no one is above the law and therefore, DCJ Mwilu was rightfully arrested.

He insisted that the war on corruption must continue to ensure public funds are not misused.

"Public funds should be used appropriately to launch and initiate various development projects across the country.

"Anyone who engages in corruption or don't pay taxes as required by the law should be arrested and be prosecuted a court of law," he added.

This comes after lawyer Nelson Havi claimed that CJ Maraga failure to act to stop his Deputy's arrest jeopardized the independence of the Judiciary.
