Controversial artist Willy Paul recently met Alaine, in Nairobi. The two did a song together dubbed “I DO.”
In short videos shared on Instagram accounts of the two artists, Willy Paul can be heard making some Swahili jokes to Aliane who can’t help but smile while speaking in Jamaican English.
“Battle of smart minds!! Hahaha look at us now!! @alainesinga. Can somebody translate things for @alainesinga ????” he posted.
"@willy.paul.msafi What are you saying????😂😂😂😂 Can somebody please translate for me😂😂," Alaine also posted on her Instagram.
The two keep the conversation going despite Alaine not getting what Wily Paul is saying.
The Kenyan artist then tells her, "Nakupenda", which loosely translates to "I love you" and then Alaine replies "Pia" which loosely translate to "I love you too."
Alaine who is currently in Nairobi staged an electrifying performance at the 'Tomorrow’s leaders’ festival'. The event featured musicians such as Diamond Platnumz, Yemi Alade, the Morgans among others. Unfortunately, due to some issues Diamond and Yemi didn't perform.
This comes just days after Willy Paul’s raunchy performances in his previous shows with Tanzania's female star Nandy that has been sparking mixed reactions from netizens who couldn’t help but wonder whether Willy Paul has denounced the gospel field and joined secular music.
