National Assembly Leader of Majority Aden Duale on Monday took to social media to show photos of his camel farm.
The Garissa Township MP is no doubt a wealthy Kenyan politician as he shared photos while taking care of his camels.
The vocal Jubilee leader in the post said he was at his camel farm outside Garissa Town where he rears over 100 she-camel breeds.
The Majority Leaders is seen attending his camel farming which he said is in line with his pastoralist community tradition.
“A man without a camel is not praised in the afterlife and the death of a man without camels is not news,” said Mr Duale on social media.
Mr Duale is also the patron of the Pastoralist Parliamentary Caucus and has invested heavily in rearing camels.
“I am planning to convert the venture into a fully-fledged dairy farm producing camel milk, meat, yoghurt and ghee. My father was not rich but he owned at least 300 camels. Just like other parts farm coffee and other products, camels are our treasure,” said the legislator as quoted by Kenyans.co.ke.
Camels are seen as a sign of wealth, blessing, prosperity in the Somali culture and give the owner much respect from the community.
