The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has finally laid bare the procedure its supporters and Kenyans can use to reach its leader Raila Odinga in person.
The party on Friday noted that one can reach Raila in person by securing an appointment through his Chief of Staff at his Capitol Hill offices.
The party termed itself an open block which is open to having citizens personally deliberate with its leader, who doubles up as the African Union Special Envoy for Infrastructure.
"Kindly visit his Office at Capitol Hill to book an appointment with the Chief of Staff. Raila Odinga has an open door policy and your wish will be granted," ODM party tweeted.
The party also weighed in on the nation's growing debt, noting that it remains opposed to President Uhuru Kenyatta's leadership's appetite for credit, especially foreign ones.
ODM noted that there is a need for the nation to live within its means, failure to which the debt burden might soon get out of hand and result in overburdening the taxpayer.
"As a party, we have always been against the insatiable appetite of borrowing by the government. We are of the opinion that we should live within our means and in a way that cannot hurt the common mwananchi. We still maintain that," said the Orange party in another tweet.
Ironically, this comes amid Raila's support for the government's fresh application for another Chinese Loan for the extension of the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) to Kisumu county.
