“The institution will provide an environment for learners to quickly have local solutions to local problems and thus inspire others to be innovative and competitive in the job market,” said Kuria.
Kenyatta University Vice-Chancellor, Paul Wainaina, who was present during the function, said that the institute is ready for the task and willing to mentor the university-college to produce programs tailored to the needs of Molo such as Agriculture, food security, security concerns among others.
He also advised the students to shun from misleading issues such as early sexual relationships, retrogressive cultures that will destruct them from progressing in their education.
On his part, Rift Valley Institute of Business Studies director, Kimemia Gitau, observed that most students drop out of school due to lack of proper guidance both in education and social life.
“There is a need to nurture students at an early point in their lives to help them identify the areas of interests that they can work on and be competitive in the job market,” said Kimemia.
The University is also set to boost the economy and promote job creation as well.
This is the first edition of the career day and the MP assured the locals that plans are in place to have many more all in a bid to promote a good performance that will have a positive impact to the nation.
