A politician allied to Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party has faulted Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka for allegedly demanding the extension of presidential term.
Samuel Omwando, who vied unsuccessfully for the Kitutu Chache MP seat during the August 8, 2018 polls, fired warning shots to Kalonzo saying he should retire in peace.
"Kalonzo is confused to the extent he is demanding for the extension of the presidential term. I wish to urge him to consider going home in peace and allow leaders who are ready to play politics in this country to continue," he said.
Mr Omwando urged opposition allied politicians to ignore Kalonzo who has lost hope in the country's top seat.
"We will have no option rather than to consider Raila Odinga as the only serious opposition leader in this country because others have lost hope in politics," he added.
The vocal politician opposed the extension of the presidential term saying President Uhuru Kenyatta must retire in 2022 to pave way for another person to take over the leadership of the country.
"Let us support Mr. Kenyatta to deliver so that he can retire in peace," he stated.
